Don't hold back for fear of bending your tool! Here's the often requested and seasonally available Dandelion Digger. A super stout digging tool for “plucking out” dandelions and other spring weeds from the lawn or garden. I forge this tool from one solid piece of steel. The stock is split into a fork, sharpened, and then given a twist while hot. The tool is set with brass rivets into its own Black Walnut handle which is turned on the lathe. This method of joinery creates a well balanced and very strong tool. Dandelions and other broad leaf weeds can be pulled up by catching the tap root in the fork and prying them up. You don’t have to hold back for fear of bending your tool. It can also be used for loosening soil around weeds and plants allowing them to be pulled up by hand. Of course, everyone has their own weeding style. Dimensions are approx. 13″ long by 2.5″ wide.
